Bio
I graduated from the University of New Mexico in Spring 2019 with my Bachelor of Science in Health Education with a concentration in Community Health. I am from the Navajo Reservation. With my degree, I was able to return to the Navajo Nation and work as a health educator. After working with my tribe, I moved to Alaska and worked as a program manager for a Tobacco Prevention and Control program as a grantee with the State of Alaska. I love cold winters and being out on a lake with a paddleboard when the climate and weather are warm enough. I am also a survivor of domestic violence. I will be pursuing my Master of Public Health in the fall semester of 2022. I am very grateful for what AIGC has helped me accomplish and for empowering me in my undergraduate career.
With my degree, I was selected to participate in a summer research project in 2019 with the Native American Research Internship, worked as a health educator on the Navajo Reservation, and worked as a program manager with Alaska Family Services, Inc.
