Paige has been an educator for over 20 years for Union Public Schools and she is enjoying her first year at Southern Nazarene University. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and also earned her master’s degree in Educational Administration and Curriculum Studies from the University of Oklahoma in 2006.
Paige is also a recipient of many educational grants from Fund for Teachers, Union Schools Education Foundation, and DonorsChoose. In 2008, she earned the National Board Certified Teacher distinction and was awarded the prestigious distinction of Presidential Award of Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching by former President Obama in 2010. Paige says she is passionate about providing teachers with the proper support so that they can provide the best possible environment for students. She has been on many state and district-level committees such as the Oklahoma Academic Standards math standards writing and revision committee, and Union Public Schools Instructional Coaching Handbook wiring committee, and has served as a mentor to several new instructional coaches at Union Public Schools.
Paige says she works hard to establish and cultivate positive relationships and support for students and teachers in her district. Prior to seeking her doctoral degree, she also worked as an adjunct professor at Oklahoma State University’s Tulsa campus.
