Christopher is a member of the Hunkpati Oyate (Crow Creek Sioux Tribe of South Dakota). He is a first-year graduate student at the University of Minnesota-Duluth in the Master’s in Tribal Resources and Environmental Stewardship Program. He received both an associate’s and a bachelor’s in Business Management from Sinte Gleska University in South Dakota.
He has earned several professional certificates working with the National Park Service RTCA Program as an Ancestral Lands Fellow. One Professional Certificate in Essential Facilitation and the other he received a scholarship and earned a Professional Certificate from George Washington University in Cultural Heritage Tourism. Christopher also earned three professional certificates from Oweesta Corporation in Financial Education and Financial Skills for Families, Financial Coach and Families Training Coach, and Financial Education Trainer for Empowerment for Teens and Young Adults.
He says his motivation is my daughter, future generations, and helping Indigenous and Tribal Nations with the preservation and conservation of Turtle Island.
