Morgan is a sophomore at Dartmouth College majoring in English and minoring in psychology. Despite her major, she is on the pre-medical track and pursuing medical school in the hopes of becoming a psychiatrist. After medical school, Morgan plans on returning to her home state and providing mental health services on the Leech Lake Reservation. She has been published in the Journal of Technology in Behavioral Science for a qualitative assessment of the ethics behind a digital app used to measure pareidolia. Beyond academics, Morgan also has a strong passion for writing and had a poem recently published in the Cracked Walnut Chapter of the League of Minnesota Poets anthology, Rewilding Hope. Her devotion to making her family and ancestors proud as well as helping those who have experienced similar struggles to her own is what sets her apart.

Native Forward Scholars Fund has allowed me to pursue higher education without the burden of worrying about how I will afford to continue going to school. Having been raised by a single mother working two jobs, I have always been acutely aware of our finances and the anxiety of scraping up enough to pay for the next bill. This fund has not only empowered me but has also given my mother the security of mind that I will never have to give up on my dreams. We both thank you immensely for this gift. Miigwech (thank you in Anishinaabemowin)!
